Modernizing the systems behind an enterprise e-commerce platform.
Platform modernization work across a monolith-to-Next.js migration, analytics reliability, shared commerce capabilities, developer tooling, APIs, and technical leadership.
Integrated core e-commerce micro-frontends into the Next.js application and contributed to the integration architecture supporting the move away from a legacy monolith. Maintained and enhanced the REST APIs and microservices that supported production traffic across both the established platform and the newer application.
Analytics platform migration
Drove completion of the Signal-to-Tealium migration, making analytics changes easier to manage while improving tracking coverage, consistency, and resilience across the web application.
Shared commerce capabilities and delivery systems
Re-architected product-popularity and shopping-activity features as a shared library, standardizing data fetching, business logic, and configuration across micro-frontends while moving legacy implementations to a newer API. Added npm package-publication safeguards to CI/CD, preventing overwritten releases and resolving package-corruption issues.
Platform exploration
Led technical spikes and proofs of concept for Adobe Experience Composer, module federation, and AI-powered review summarization. Documented findings from each exploration to give the platform team a clearer basis for implementation decisions.
Team leadership and communication
Served as interim lead for two engineers, assigning work, supporting the team, and coordinating technical delivery. Presented technical and non-technical topics to engineering guilds and company all-hands audiences.
Themes
Connecting established commerce systems with a newer Next.js platform
Making analytics changes more manageable while improving tracking coverage, consistency, and resilience
Turning repeated commerce functionality and delivery work into reusable capabilities
